Travel extras such as currency exchange, car hire and holiday insurance etc may be available at your holiday provider but it is not mandatory to book with them. There are other and perhaps cheaper providers around!
Holiday insurance cover - holiday insurance is a must to protect you against any unforeseen circumstances. In particular if you are on a family holiday, the last thing you want is an accident to happen and for your whole family to suffer through poor arrangements with no cover. Having covers while you are away gives you the peace of mind that you are protected against any unfortunate events. Holiday Insurance is generally cheap and plenty of cover providers are willing to offer holiday insurance at competitive rates. To enjoy your holiday more and for that added peace of mind, holiday insurance is highly recommended and inexpensive product.
Tip: Always check the fine line and read the small print when you are getting holiday insurance or car hire and make sure you know the excess on the both contracts.
Airport parking - cheap airport parking is best found online. You can usually save by booking in advance and on line. If you drive up on the day, you are bound to pay the full price. Apart from the local airport parking (on airport web sites) other airport parking providers such as purpleparking.com have sites not far from the airport and provide a shuttle bus service every 10 min or so. They tend to be cheaper and again online bookings may have discounts.
Holiday car hire - if you are on holiday with family and kids, holiday car or van hire may be able to cut the cost of travelling around. Holiday rental cars are usually available to pick up from and drop off at the airport. Several holiday car hire companies can be found online and they usually offer discounts if you book early.
