Life insurance health checkup

Life insurance health checkup

Postby Ohoh » Wed Mar 24, 2010 10:55 am

Hi there,

I have just decided to change my life insurance policy and move to a new company.

The problem is that previously, I did not need to tack a medical. The new company says that I must. I am only 41 years old.

Is this standard practice?

Thanks.

I could be wrong but I think that everyone over 40 years of age has to have a medical for life insurance.

I certainly did, although I had no problems.

Kind of makes sense they do this, imagine somebody finding out they had a terminal illness and then taking out life insurance?

Bite the bullet and have the medical.

Do you yourself have to pay for the medical?
