Switch from pay as you go to contract

Switch from pay as you go to contract

Postby Leon » Sat Mar 20, 2010 8:33 am

I wonder if anyone could give me some advice please?

I currently use a pay-as-you go calling plan for my mobile phone.

The problem is, in my new job I have to use my phone much more, and I am not reimbursed by my company. This is getting pretty expensive.

I was thinking of switching to a contract phone, with free minutes provided to combat this.

Any advice on which provider to choose?

Thanks in advance.

Long Leon.

First thing is to look at what you need - more text or more minutes?

Depending on this, you should start looking around for the package that suits you. Best way is to compare plans at phone agents like phones 4u and carephone warehouse. These companies also gives nice freebies like nintendo DS and DVD players etc.

Dial a phone is also a good one and is web based so you can compare online.

Before you sign the contract always ask "is theis the best you can do?" work a treat sometimes ;)

You can easily transfer you old number across too.

Hope this helps.

Don't forget to find out if your plan also includes some free data transfer, this is great for keeping up with your emails on the go. Most modern phones can run a web browser of sorts, and many have native applications developed by the likes of Google to receive Gmail in an easy to use app.
